Students from the South Huntington Excel Program, under the supervision of Mr. David Perkins, were featured in a documentary video produced by the New York State Department of Labor and the New York State Association of Training and Employment Professionals (NYATEP) that focused on work readiness skills that employers require and skills that today’s young adults need to possess. “As one of the model programs in New York State, our program was recognized as a ‘Best Practice’ by the New York State Department of Labor,” said Assistant Superintendent for Student Services Ms. Jacqueline Harris.
