Wednesday June 10, 2015, Honoring Gary Melius-Visionary, Philanthropist, Friend
Kick off your summer with one of the biggest and brightest galas of the season! Please join us at OHEKA Castle for the 15th annual Garden Party honoring owner Gary Melius and celebrating the talents of local high school seniors.
Ticket price includes hors d’oeuvres, dinner, wine and dessert between 5-8 pm (rain or shine.) Reservations can be made on line at: oheka.com. The price remains the same as 2014: $50.00 for Friends of OHEKA members, $70.00 for non-members and $100.00 at the door for all.
We’re proud to announce the following students will be honored at the Garden Party and will each receive $2,500 scholarships to continue their studies in the arts:
Emily Gallagher, Cold Spring Harbor HS
Danielle Holmes, Harborfields HS
Alexandra Infranco, Northport HS
Marshall Kearse, Half Hollow Hills HS East
Chailing Pidd, Northport HS
Dana Roach, Walt Whitman HS
Daniel Rudin, Half Hollow Hills HS West
Some of these students will be performing at the Garden Party and will have their work displayed at the Castle. This special event is Friends of OHEKA’S only fund raiser. With your continued support, we can keep raising money for up and coming artists in the tradition of Otto Kahn, the Castle’s original owner.
Friends of OHEKA, Inc. is dedicated to the protection, preservation and public awareness of OHEKA Castle, a monument to a bygone era and a testament to Huntington’s commitment to historic preservation.
