The Dix Hills Fire Department and Suffolk Police responded to a crash on Buttonwood Drive on Monday evening, August 22, 2016, at 9 p.m. after a Jeep Renegade struck a tree and overturned.
Three teenagers were able to escape the wreckage and were transported to Huntington Hospital by the Dix Hills Rescue Squad with non-life threatening injuries. About 25 firefighters and EMS personnel were dispatched with two heavy rescue trucks, three ambulances, paramedic and first responder units under the command of Chief Robert Fling and Assistant Chiefs Tom Napolitano, Alan Berkowitz and Joe Williamson.
