Letter from the Halesite Chief: ELF Sleigh Book (Your Help Needed!)

Filed under: Around Town,Arts & Entertainment,Fire,Halesite,Holiday Season,News,Police/Fire/EMS |

Son of a Nutcracker! 2017 marks the 14th anniversary of the sleigh from “Elf” being at the Halesite Fire Department.  In celebration of this event, Galgos Entertainment and Giordano studios will publish a commemorative book of photographs and stores about the famous sleigh.

Over the last 14 years, thousands of photos have been taken in and around the sled. The publishers are asking for anyone who would like to be part of the book to share those photos and stories with them and have the opportunity to share them with the community.

Photos must be at least 150 dpi or larger, and can be submitted as jpeg, PDF, or PSD files. Please include names/dates when possible, and a short story to describe each photo.

The deadline for photo submissions is 2/28/2017. So please start digging through your drawers, boxes, negatives, digital chips, files and smart phones for your sleigh pictures and stories!

The book is scheduled for release in the Fall of 2017. Proceeds from the sale of the book to benefit the Halesite Fire Department. We will keep everyone updated though our Facebook page Halesite FD Elf Sleigh or you can submit inquiries to elfsleighfd@gmail.com
