Jan. 19, 2017: The Guthrie Brothers Present “Scarborough Fair” – A Simon & Garfunkel Experience
Hard Luck Café Concert at Huntington’s Cinema Arts Centre
The Guthrie Brothers will perform the songs of Simon & Garfunkel, along with a few of their own, during the monthly Hard Luck Café series at the Cinema Arts Centre (423 Park Avenue, Huntington) on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017. The 8:30 p.m. concert in the Cinema’s Sky Room will be preceded by an open mic at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 ($10 for Cinema Arts Centre and Folk Music Society of Huntington members) and will be available at the door.
With their tight vocal harmonies and acoustic guitars, brothers Jeb and Jock Guthrie emulate the signature sound of the iconic folk-rock duo. Stories and trivia will be interspersed with songs during a concert that is bound to have audience members smiling and singing along to such Simon & Garfunkel favorites as “Homeward Bound,” “Mrs. Robinson” and “Scarborough Fair.”
