Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I,Ref.—South Huntington) recently joined the South Huntington School District in recognizing seven outstanding educators in the “2017 Teacher of the Year” ceremony.

The event, held at Walt Whitman High School, was attended by administrators, students, and fellow educators from throughout the district. Lupinacci presented the teachers with New York State Assembly Citations in recognition of their terrific achievement.

“It has been said that there is no more noble profession than a teacher,” Lupinacci said. “This year’s Teachers of the Year have proven that great teachers not only foster young minds, but inspire their students to overcome future obstacles with enthusiasm and confidence. I am pleased to be here to congratulate another excellent class of teachers, who have set a standard to be emulated by others for years to come,” said Lupinacci.
