Suffolk County Invites Applications for Seasonal Parks Jobs

Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and the Suffolk County Department of  Parks, Recreation and Conservation are pleased to announce  that the Suffolk County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation is now accepting  applications for a variety of seasonal employment positions at beaches, parks, golf courses, and campgrounds for the 2017 season. 

“Seasonal employment with the parks department provides the opportunity for individuals to help protect the environment, while earning money and providing a real service to the public,” said Bellone.  “With over 48,000 acres of parkland, the Parks Department requires extra assistance in efficiently maintaining each facility as well as help in providing a safe environment for the public.”


            Park Attendants are hired to perform a variety of tasks including maintenance, office work, as well as registrations and fee collections at the entrance booths. Park attendants must be at least 16 years of age, and willing to work weekends and holidays, early and evening shifts.
