“Photography Fights Cancer” Charity Event
“Photography Fights Cancer“
For the second year in a row, the Huntington Camera Club (HCC) is partnering with the Elwood Community Relay For Life Committee and the American Cancer Society to raise money to help bring an end to cancer through the sale of original fine art photographs donated by members of the HCC.
Last year’s auction raised over $6,800. The goal for the 2017 event is $12,000. 100% of the money donated is tax deductible and goes directly to the American Cancer Society.
New for the 2017 auction is on-line bidding available at the following charity auction website:
The physical silent auction will take place on Saturday, March 25th from noon until 4 PM at John Glenn High School at 478 Elwood Rd, Elwood, NY 11731.
Admission is free to the March 25th auction.
Huntington based musicians Mikah Feldman-Stein, Rich Stein, Judy Merrick, Flutissimo and the Mountain Maidens will be performing throughout the event.
Huntington Town Councilwoman Susan A. Berland is scheduled to attend and speak during the event.
Food and refreshments will be provided free of charge throughout the event for attendees to enjoy.
Being able to own an original piece of artwork while helping to put and end to cancer via a tax deductible donation to the American Cancer Society makes “Photography Fights Cancer” a unique charity event.
