Benefit Featuring Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Grammy Winner Jorma Kaukonen of Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna Fame
The Long Island Autism Communities, Inc. (www.licommunity.org), a not for profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing supportive integrated communities for adults with autism, is hosting its first major fundraiser, “An Intimate Evening with Jorma Kaukonen.” The event will be held on Thursday, April 13th, 7 PM, at The Space at Westbury Theatre, 250 Post Avenue, Westbury, NY. All proceeds from the event will benefit Long Island Autism Communities.
Jorma Kaukonen (www.JormaKaukonen.com) is an American music legend, highly-renowned for his interpretation of roots music, the blues, Americana and popular rock and roll. A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy winner from his days with Jefferson Airplane, he currently tours the world, most often with bassist, Jack Casady, as Hot Tuna.
The Long Island Autism Communities benefit featuring Jorma will include his sharing of long-awaited stories and songs from his Hall of Fame career influencing American music and culture.
There will also be a live auction of several very distinctive gifts including a guitar and other musical items autographed by Jorma, and a weekend at his family’s renowned Fur Peace Ranch. Additionally, the event will include a 50/50 pot and a special raffle for two general admission guests to meet with Jorma.
