School Bus and Car Crash in Melville

The Melville Fire Department and Suffolk Police responded to a crash Friday morning, March 24, 2017, involving a mini school bus and a car on Wolf Hill Road and New York Avenue at around 8:40 a.m. The driver of the car was transported to Huntington Hospital by the Melville Rescue Squad with non-life threatening injuries. The bus driver and a child passenger were not reported injured. About 20 Melville firefighters and EMS personnel were dispatched with one ambulance, two heavy rescue trucks, fire police and paramedic responder, under the direction of Captain Tom Niemczyk.
