Today April 18, 2017 at Pancho Villa’s Mexican Restaurant with a room full of supporters Town Councilwomen Tracey Edwards told her supporters that it is time to run for Supervisor.  This means that most likely a primary will occur for the Democrats because Darryl St George has already announced that is he is running for supervisor.  Newcomer and Democrat Brian Muellers, a scientist, environmentalist and former Nassau legislator, unofficially threw his hat into the mix, when he told Long Islander News he recently met with the Huntington Town Democratic Committee and is “seriously considering” a run.

Current Supervisor Frank Petrone endorses Tracey Edwards for supervisor. States “the town will be in good hands”.

However so far Edwards and St George are the only two who have officially announced a run. The Election calendar states that the end of May is when parties to choice candidates.  If a primary is necessary the Primary will be on– September 12, 2017.   We wish all candidates good luck.
