Shooting in Greenlawn – Brooklyn Ave

911 call to Suffolk county police last night July 1, 2017 at around 10pm was received and police call went out to patrols in the area as “GREENLAWN, NY (SUFFOLK) *SHOOTING* BROOKLYN AVE IAO LANTERN ST. PERSON SHOT IN SERIOUS COND. 2 PERPS FLED. REQ K9. RESCUE ON A RUSH”.

According to Assistant Commissioner Justin Meyers – “Suffolk County Police detectives are investigating an incident in Greenlawn where a man was shot Saturday night. Police responded to a 911 call of a man shot on Brooklyn Avenue at approximately 10:08 p.m. The victim was transported to Huntington Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing.” 

So per the call to patrol cars the victim was in serous condition and the police are looking for 2 men who fled the scene.  Anyone with information please call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
