Tragic Accident Takes Twins Lives In Melville Pool

A Melville Mother woke this morning and saw one of her children floating in the families pool. She called 911 and the rescue personal were on the scene in 2 minutes.

The following statement comes from SCPD: “Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the drowning deaths of 3-year-old male twins that occurred in their backyard pool, located at 10 Holly Court in Melville, this morning. The children’s mother called 911 at 8:40 a.m. She began CPR on one child and reported that the other child was missing. Police and rescue personnel searched the pool where they located the other child.  Following a preliminary investigation, it appears the incident was accidental. Personnel from the Town of Huntington are responding to the scene to assess the property, however, at this point, it appears the property was in compliance with town regulations.”

The children were transported to Planview Hospital where emergency personal tried everything to revive the children but could not. The Children were pronounced dead at the hospital this morning July 26, 2017.
