Half Hollow Hills Appoints New Superintendent And Assistant Superintendent
The Half Hollow Hills Central School District has announced the appointment of two district administrators; Dr. Patrick Harrigan is the new superintendent of schools, and Dr. Jeffery Woodberry is the new assistant superintendent for districtwide administration.
Dr. Patrick Harrigan
Harrigan had previously served as the district’s deputy superintendent, assistant superintendent for districtwide administration, assistant superintendent for secondary education and as assistant superintendent for research, assessment and special services. Prior to joining Half Hollow Hills in 2005, Harrigan was the director of special education for Farmingdale Public Schools, principal at the Maryhaven School, and an assistant principal and teacher at the North Country Middle School in the Miller Place Union Free School District. Harrigan is replacing Kelly Fallon, who retired this year.
“I am proud and honored to be taking on this role in Half Hollow Hills, a well-established school district with a rich history of excellence. It has been a truly remarkable experience to serve the children and families of our community for the past 12 years, and I look forward to this great opportunity to build upon the world-class school system that is already in place,” said Harrigan. “My goal is to continue to develop the strong culture within our district, which translates directly to exceptional opportunities and outcomes for the children of our community.”
Prior to his appointment as an assistant superintendent, Woodberry was the principal at Half Hollow Hills High School East, where he had also served as an assistant principal and guidance counselor. Woodberry is filling a role previously held by Dr. Harrigan.
Dr . Jeffery Woodberry
“The position of assistant superintendent allows me to focus my energy in a new direction and make contributions to our district in a broader scope. I’m excited to take on this new role, learn different things and expand my connections within the district,” said Woodberry. “I’m looking forward to working with the superintendent, the leadership team, and the rest of the Half Hollow Hills community to keep moving our district forward.”
