Huntington Manor Firefighters Free Crash Victim

The Huntington Manor Fire Department responded to a crash involving a car that
struck and snapped a utility pole on Old Country Road near Foxhurst Drive in South
Huntington, Sunday, February 25, 2018 at about 9:35 p.m. Firefighters used the "Jaws
of Life" heavy rescue tools to free the trapped female driver. The victim was
assisted by EMS crews from the Huntington Community First Aid Squad and transported
to Huntington Hospital. About 30 firefighters and EMS personnel were on the scene
with an engine, two heavy rescue trucks and two ambulances, under the command of
HMFD Chiefs DePasquale, Hoffmann, Brady and Glidden. Suffolk Police units were also
on the scene.
