Four People Taken To Huntington Hospital Following MVA On Oakwood Road Sunday Afternoon

Three adults and a child were taken to Huntington Hospital after a two car motor vehicle accident on Oakwood Road at Wexford Street.  The Huntington Community First Aid Squad (HCFAS) was dispatched to the scene at 12:43 Sunday afternoon.  Upon arrival the crew found a woman trapped in an overturned SUV. Huntington Manor FD was called to the scene to stabilize the vehicle and remove the windshield and roof so EMS personnel could extricate the victim.  The female, in her 70s was transported to Huntington Hospital with neck and back injuries. A second ambulance called to the scene transported the victims of the second vehicle, a male and female both in their 40s and an approximately 3 year old child who was restrained in a rear child seat.  The driver and passenger, taken to Huntington Hospital had minor injuries and the child was  transported to HH to be evaluated.  Huntington Community First Aid Squad responded with two ambulances, an ALS First Responder, Sunday Day Captain and the HCFAS Medical Director.
