Get Ready to Do The Hustle, The Bus Stop and The Bump for Autism Communities of Long Island at Boogie Night at The Mansion 70s Dance Party
Long Islanders, it’s time to dust off your dancing shoes for Boogie Night at The Mansion, a 70s Dance Party to benefit Autism Communities (Deer Park, NY, www.autismcommunities.org/boogie), a private, 501(c) (3) organization, whose mission is to provide housing solutions for adults with autism in vibrant, safe communities where they can enjoy fulfilling lives, supported by a person-centered culture of care for their lifetime.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, 7-11 pm at The Mansion at Oyster Bay, One South Woods Road, Woodbury, NY 11797. It will feature special guests, The Sugarhill Gang, an American hip hop group, whose 1979 multi-platinum selling “Rapper’s Delight” was the first Rap single to become a Top 40 hit on the Billboard 100. This legendary group will perform this chart-topping hit along with others including “Apache,” “8th Wonder,” “White Lines,” and “Work, Work the Body.” Also on hand to spin other great dance tunes of the era will be DJ Toro and DJ Matty of GNA DJ Entertainment. There will be a premium bar and international buffet dinner along with prizes for “Best 70s Attire” and “Hustle Contest” winners. A high stakes 50/50 as well as great raffle and board prizes will round out what is certain to be a fun, high energy event for a very worthy cause.
