Residents of Huntington are invited to a Meet the Candidates Night and a Take Action Workshop hosted by The League of Women Voters of Huntington and co-sponsored by The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce. The events will be held at Harborfields Public Library, 31 Broadway, Greenlawn, NY.

Meet the Candidates Night

The Meet the Candidates Night will be held on Monday, October 22 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. for candidates for the Huntington Town Council and the Huntington Receiver of Taxes.

All candidates on the ballot will be invited to participate. Attendees wishing to ask questions may submit them in writing, only on cards supplied at the event.

Take Action Workshop – How to Choose a Candidate

Prior to the Meet the Candidates Night, the League of Women Voters of Huntington will conduct a Take Action Workshop from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., also at Harborfields Public Library. Learn from the League how to weigh campaign, news, and research information in deciding which candidate will best represent you on the issues that are important to you. Consistent with the League’s nonpartisan policy, no aspect of the training will support or oppose a candidate for office or a political party. Seating is limited but registration is open to everyone.
