‘Spend’ This Holiday Season at Home in Huntington
The holiday season is alive and well as the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, Huntington BID and merchants throughout Huntington are offering lots of sales, special events, and an abundance of incentives and exciting programs to help celebrate the holidays at home.
“When choosing that perfect gift this holiday season, don’t forget to ‘Buy Local,’” said Robert Bontempi, Huntington Chamber Chairman. “Huntington offers shoppers a great selection of gifts for any age and any budget. The local community has so much to offer and will come alive with holiday music, festive decorations and free parking for visitors and shoppers during the holiday season. We, at the Huntington Chamber, hope you ‘spend’ this holiday season at home in Huntington.”
Many local residents, who were looking for a great way to kick off the holiday season, took part in this past weekend’s 2nd annual Huntington Holiday Parade. An audience of thousands took part in a tree lighting ceremony as well as the parade which began at the Big H Shopping Center and headed north on New York Avenue to Main Street. This was only a sneak peek into all that Huntington has to offer in the coming months.
“The holiday season in the Huntington Township is truly spectacular with so many special activities that celebrate our rich history, cultural diversity and unique local businesses,” Bontempi said. “Huntington provides the opportunity to meet Santa, enjoy live holiday musical performances or enjoy late night shopping in town. I invite everyone to join in the holiday celebration in Huntington, where’s there’s no place like home.”
