Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a two-car crash that killed a Huntington man yesterday afternoon.
William Holden, 85, was driving his 1996 Honda Accord northbound on Round Swamp Road near Vannina Place in West Hills when the vehicle crossed over into the opposite lane of traffic and struck a 2010 Mercedes Benz sedan that was traveling southbound on Round Swamp Road at approximately 3:25 p.m.
Holden, of 11 Orchard Place, was transported to Huntington Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Mercedes, Jodi Knott, 51, of 99 Round Swamp Road, Huntington, was also transported to Huntington Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
