Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Huntington Station

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a Huntington Station man last night.

Cesar Gudiel was walking in the roadway along New York Avenue near East 21st Street at approximately 7:35 when he was struck by a car traveling northbound on New York Avenue. The car continued to travel northbound on New York Avenue after striking Gudiel. The car is described as a white sedan with white New York State registration plates and possibly a rear spoiler.

 Gudiel, of 138 Columbia St., was transported by Huntington Community First Aid Squad to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

 The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone who has information about this crash to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
