Car Crashes into Greenlawn Restaurant

Firefighters from Greenlawn Fire Department responded to the Azuma Sushi Restaurant, after a Toyota Camry lost control and crashed through a fence and into the front of the building on Broadway and Little Plains Road in Greenlawn, early Saturday afternoon, January 14. Technical Rescue Teams from the Huntington Manor and Commack fire departments assisted Greenlawn with the rescue operation. The driver and passenger were extricated by firefighters and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported to Huntington Hospital by the Greenlawn Rescue Squad.  Units were under the command of Greenlawn Fire Chief Scott Dalrymple. There were no other injuries reported.
