Whitman soccer star Alyssa Vallar has signed her letter of intent to play soccer at Binghamton University in the fall. A highly ranked senior, Alyssa is only one of three students in Suffolk County to be awarded all-county soccer player as well as all-county high-academic awards. “It amazes me how well she does in school and still finds the time to devote to consistently playing soccer,” said Whitman’s soccer coach Mr. Mike Moccia. “She’s the full package both on and off the field. She should be a perfect fit for Division 1 soccer at Binghamton and should make an impact.”

Alyssa decided to forgo basketball and spring track as she sharpens her concentration and skills in soccer.  Alyssa is a member of the Whitman academic team competing in MSG Varsity’s “The Challenge.” The Wildcats earned a second round match with Kings Park, which airs March 12 at 6:30 PM on MSG Varsity, Cablevision’s, Channel 14.
