Chamber Hosts Networking Programs at the End of March
Whether you’re an early bird or a night owl, the Huntington Chamber of Commerce has planned several unique networking programs during the last week of March. Both events have been designed to provide valuable networking fun.
The Huntington Chamber’s 2012 March Networking Breakfast will take place on Tuesday, March 27 with an engaging and valuable business program featuring Long Island Business News’ dynamic reporter David Winzelberg, who has his finger on the pulse of Long Island’s business community. Previously with the New York Times for over 20 years, David has worked with the LI Business News covering business, real estate and general news on Long Island. He is considered one of Long Island’s most clever, energetic and sharp media professionals and is one person you will want to hear.
In addition to David Winzelberg, opening remarks will be provided by Legislator Spencer. Along with great networking opportunities, the discussion will provide a valuable update and information about the business climate on Long Island and throughout Suffolk County. The breakfast will be held at Huntington Yacht Club, located at 95 East Shore Road in Huntington, from 7:30 to 10 a.m.
On the evening of Thursday, March 29, the Chamber will host a fundraiser in conjunction with The Paramount Comedy Series at The Paramount Theater, 370 New York Avenue in Huntington. The program will feature Rich Walker (voted Long Island’s favorite comedian for the second time), Maria Walsh (America’s Naughtiest Mommy) and Erik Rivera (national headliner of The Tonight Show and Gotham Comedy Club fame). The show starts at 8 p.m.; doors open at 7 p.m. A suggested donation of $20 will secure your ticket.
“Our networking programs provide an environment where members can build effective relationships with peers as well as with influential professionals with the skills, influence and/or funding to help grow business successfully. These programs provide a great platform to get involved in the Chamber. If you are looking to be effective in business and to develop a strong network of professionals, this is the program to participate in,” explained Robert Bontempi, Huntington Chamber Chairperson.
