Long Island author Felice Cantatore will be on hand to sign his newly released book, “Rocky Spirit” on Tuesday, July 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Book Revue in Huntington, New York.
“Rocky Spirit” chronicles the profound impact the Academy Award winning movie franchise, “Rocky” had on Cantatore as he grew up in Queens, New York. “This is the story of an underdog boxer whose fighting spirit and unwavering dedication enabled him to go the distance, despite insurmountable odds,” said Cantatore. “I was inspired by the story’s message and truly believe we can apply that same commitment to success in everyday life,” he continued.
The author shares his uncanny connection to the Rocky Balboa story. Over the past 30 years, the film series’ messages of overcoming adversity continue to inspire Cantatore, who firmly believes in the laws of attraction. His own tenacity landed him roles as a movie extra, a guest at the film’s premiere and a chance to meet movie star Sylvester Stallone.
The book, described as “a masterpiece” by “Rocky” star Burt Young, is a must read for anyone who believes personal success can be achieved through hard work and perseverance.
“Rocky Spirit” is available online at www.rockyspirit.org and on Amazon.com and is available at The Book Revue at 313 New York Avenue in Huntington, NY.
