Wanted for Making Graffiti

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Suffolk Police Hate Crimes Unit are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person(s) responsible for various acts of graffiti in several parks located in the Huntington, Commack and Smithtown areas.

Between April 2, 2012 and July 17, 2012, unknown persons made graffiti on playground equipment and buildings located on the park grounds. The graffiti consisted of, but was not limited to, racial words and symbols and sexually explicit words and drawings that were either spray painted or carved into the equipment, on buildings, and on the ground.

                        The parks that were targeted by the vandals were:

       Koster Park, Engelke Avenue, South Huntington

       Mill Dam Park, Mill Dam Road, Halesite

       Cedar Road Park, Cedar Road, Commack

       Commack Park, Wicks Road, Elwood

       Whitman Hollow Park, Map Lane, Smithtown

       Burr Winkle Park, Harvest Lane, Commack
