Suffolk County Police arrested a man for giving a teenager beer in front of a police officer in Bay Shore.
Police Officer Joseph Bianco was sitting in his marked car in the parking lot at the Gulf gas station located at 195 Pine Aire Dr. when he observed Michael Oromaner exit the gas station with a case of beer. Oromaner walked past Officer Bianco and three teenage boys sitting on the curb by the police car. One of the boys asked Oromaner for $1. Oromaner proceeded to his vehicle, opened up the case of beer, walked back to the teenagers and handed a beer to the boy who asked for $1.
Oromaner, 43, of 23 Old Northport Rd., Huntington, was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on October 5.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
