  1. Someone should notify Jon Cooper on the success of Shot Spotter for this incident. And for those who are not condemning religion, let us offer prayers and condolences to the family for their loss.

  2. What do you mean by that comment? That shot spotter worked and the police responded or are you being sarcastic and mocking Mr. Cooper? Couldn’t you just offer your “prayers and condolences” to the family without making a political statement?

  4. Yes, I saw that in the article; however, since the victim was found on the front steps it is possible the victim was shot indoors and the sound of the gunshot would have been muffled.

  5. Blunderboy, clearly you know nothing about the discharge of weapons. Unless the killer used a silencer, which is almost impossible to properly use, the shot would have been loud enough to be picked up by Shot Spotter. Only the point here is all the money and effort to put it in has not stopped murders. Perhaps we should upgrade to Shot Spotter 2.0 and have it installed inside all residences. Maybe cameras too.

  6. @Equita: Can’t disagree without calling me a name? That is immature and cowardly.
