The Helping Hand Rescue Mission’s pantry is in great need of all non-perishable food items such as:
Canned vegetables, canned corn, pasta products, sauce, rice, rice side mixes, soups, canned fruit, instant potatoes, cereal, peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, canned and dried beans, pancake mix, syrup, gravy, tuna, canned chicken, brownie mix, cake mix, icing, snack items such as Granola bars, cereal bars.
Another need that they have need for is new unwrapped toys for their 48th Annual Christmas party that will be held at the Jack Abrams School on December 15th, 2012. They will be wrapping the toys for the party on Veteran’s Day, November 12th at the Mission from 10-4pm and would need to receive them prior to wrapping day. They expect approximately 400 children to attend the party and give each child 2 wrapped toys (ex. 1 board game, I action figure) (I doll/1 small game), Christmas candy and an afternoon of fun and holiday cheer. The toys that they are in need of Ages 0-2 small Fisher Price “type” toys, board games for children 9-12, such as Monopoly, Scrabble Jr., Sorry etc. Also balls, cars, trucks, Nerf type toys, action figures, dolls etc.
The donation of these items will help to continue to serve those in our local community that are in need.
Please drop off the items directly at the Helping Hands Mission which is located at 225 Broadway in Huntington Station
