Jericho Turnpike west of Route 110 in Huntington was closed Saturday afternoon following a crash between two sports utility vehicles that left a Cadillac Escalade overturned on its side. Volunteers from the Huntington Manor Fire Department, Huntington Community First Aid Squad and Suffolk Police second precinct officers responded to the crash at about 4 p.m. The driver of the Escalade suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Huntington Hospital by Huntington Community ambulance. Huntington Manor FD was on the scene with an engine and heavy rescue truck and crews assisted the injured,secured the vehicles and handled a fuel spill, under the command of Assistant Chiefs Frank McQuade and Mike DePasquale.
