Emergency Blood Drives

In the aftermath of Sandy, the majority of regularly scheduled blood drives have been cancelled.  Numerous emergency drives have been scheduled in their place. New York Blood Services deeply appreciates the support of the organizations and venues that are hosting these drives. Here’s a list of  local blood drives for Nov 2- 6 (Fri-Tues). Thank you for making every effort to donate blood or platelets.

Requirement for donating blood:
-Minimum weight 110 lbs.
-Ages 16 to 75
*16 year olds must have parental permission
*Age 76 and over need doctor’s note
*Eat well (low fat) & drink fluids
*No tattoos for past 12 months
*WALK INS WELCOME
