December is always a special time at the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum. Once again, three popular, traditional Vanderbilt holiday events are on the calendar.

Saturday, December 1

This event, which is free and open to the public, includes cookies and hot chocolate and the singing of carols and a performance by the Northport Chorale.

Saturday, December 8

Holiday Dinner in Vanderbilt Mansion
Seatings will be at 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.
Cost: $100 per person

Seating is limited for this very popular Long Island tradition. This event sells out quickly and reservations are required. Tickets may be purchased by phone at 631-854-5579. Reservation deadline is November 26.

The evening includes cocktails, a tour of the decorated mansion, dinner in the glassed-walled Northport Porch overlooking the harbor, and dessert in the Lancaster Room.
Wednesday-Friday, December 26-28
Twilight Tours of the Decorated Vanderbilt Mansion
7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Admission: $10 for adults, $9 for students and seniors (62 and older), and $5 for children 12 and under.

Another Vanderbilt tradition is guided twilight tours of the mansion, decorated festively for the holidays by local garden clubs and individuals. Hot chocolate and cookies included.

The Vanderbilt Museum is located at 180 Little Neck Road, Centerport, NY.
