Arson At Sweet Hollow Hall

A fire was intentionally set at the Sweet Hollow Hall in West Hills County Park at approximately 1:25 a.m. on December 10, 2012. The building, which was completely destroyed in the fire, was historically used as a church before being acquired by Suffolk County and was most recently used as a meeting hall and for community events.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Arson detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the person or people responsible for setting a fire at a building in West Hills.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. In addition to the Crime Stoppers reward, the Suffolk County Arson Task Force is offering a second reward of up to $5,000. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Information can also be phoned into the Arson Task Force at 631-654-1211. All calls will be kept confidential.
