Joan Cergol Appointed Director Of CDA

Joan Cergol has been appointed Director of the Community Development Agency.  Cergol has worked for the Town since 2002 as Supervisor Frank P. Petrone’s Economic Development Assistant and liaison to the business community.  She also serves as executive director of the Town of Huntington Economic Development Corp. Previously, she worked in marketing and public relations in both the public and private sector. A Huntington resident, she holds a degree in broadcast journalism and public relations from the C.W. Post Center of Long island University.

Cergol replaced former director Doug Aloise who was terminated for undisclosed reasons.

Huntingtonian staff suspected that a Town Hall insider would be appointed to this position.
