82 Year Old Melville Man Killed in Motor Vehicle Crash

 Sidney Stein, 82, was driving a 2004 Lexus northbound on Bagatelle Road when he apparently lost control of his vehicle. The Lexus crossed over into the southbound lane and struck a tree just north of Hemingway Drive at approximately 3:35 p.m on Thursday February 21.

Stein, of Bardini Drive, was transported via Melville Fire Department to North Shore LIJ Plainview Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed an 82-year-old Melville man this afternoon.
