Assemblyman Andrew Raia spoke at the 2013-14 Budget Conference Committee Hearing on Health. Raia was selected to represent the Assembly Minority Conference, given his leadership and experience as the Ranking Minority Member on the Health Committee. Raia commended the budgets proposed by both the Assembly and Senate, while at the same time warning that there is still much work to be done.
“Our families deserve quality, affordable health care, and I will make sure that Long Island, specifically, is at the forefront of our budget talks,” said Raia. “Some of the state’s most pressing issues will be discussed, and I am honored to be selected to serve on this committee. I am hopeful that we can devise a plan to address these crucial issues in a way that will satisfy all parties involved.”
