East Northport FD Responds to Pulaski Road Crash

Pulaski Road Crash
The East Northport Fire Department responded to a crash on Pulaski Road, west of Town Line Road after a sports utility vehicle struck and knocked down a utility pole Sunday afternoon, April 14. The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Huntington Hospital by East Northport FD Rescue Squad ambulance.  Firefighters secured the vehicle, and used a chainsaw to cut up and remove the pole from the roadway. About 25 firefighters and EMS personnel were on the scene with two rescue pumpers, an ambulance and fire police, under the command of Chief Joe Ervin and Assistant Chiefs Wayne Kaifler, Jr., and Dan Heffernan.
