Assemblyman Andrew Raia recently extended his congratulations to Quinn Pace, a local Northport High School art student, for being selected to represent New York State in a national flag display in Texas. Pace’s flag design was chosen to be flown at the National Art Education Association’s Annual Conference in Fort Worth, Texas with the other national flag winners from across the US.
“To see such a display of talent right here in our community speaks volumes about the quality of education in our schools,” said Raia. “I can’t express how proud I am of Quinn Pace for creating such a beautiful flag. Her teacher, Constance Wolf, and Visual Arts Department Chairperson, Julia Lang-Shapiro also deserve a lot of praise for helping foster such talent. It’s my hope that we can have this flag on display up in the Capitol for all to see and take pride in.”
