The Town of Huntington will hold an official dedication of the Huntington Station Pedestrian Plaza, including the sculpture Generations commissioned for the plaza. The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 12:00 noon. The plaza is located at New York Avenue and Olive Street in Huntington Station.
Central to the plaza is the four-piece limestone sculpture “Generations,” commissioned from Denver-based artist Madeline Wiener, who will be part of the program. Invited to attend the ceremony are many of the groups who have supported the plaza project, including the Town of Huntington Economic Development Corporation and the Town’s Public Art Advisory Council, as well as civic leaders who have looked forward to its completion and representatives from Renaissance Downtowns, the master developer the Town hired for Huntington Station.
