Huntington Hospital To Host Emergency Drill

Northshore LIJHuntington Hospital will host a Mass Causality drill on Sunday, June 9 in the morning.  The purpose of the drill is to make sure the Hospital is ready in the event of a true emergency.  Residents should not be alarmed if they see what appears to be an emergency on the Hospital’s grounds.  It is likely that there will be several emergency vehicles and first-responders on stand by.

The drill will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at 270 Park Avenue, Huntington.

“As part of our ongoing readiness training and evaluation we conduct various drills throughout the year.  Sunday’s drill will test our ability to respond timely and effectively to a mass casualty accident involving dozens of injured patients.”

“This drill is made possible through the collaborative efforts of all Huntington Township Fire Departments and specifically Huntington Fire Department and Huntington Community First Aid Squad who are the primary sponsors.”
