There will be two Classic Car Shows Planned at Vanderbilt by Antique Automobile Club of America, Jaguar and MG Clubs. The events will be held Sundays, August 18 and September 15.
The Vanderbilt Cup Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) will hold its show on Sunday, August 18. The Jaguar Drivers Club of Long Island and the MG Car Club-Long Island Centre will sponsor a combined show on Sunday September 15.
Each show will be held from 11:00 to 4:00. Admission to both is free, after visitors pay the general Vanderbilt grounds-admission fee: $7 for adults, $6 for students with ID and seniors (62 and older), $3 for children 12 and under.
The AACA show is open to all makes of cars 25 years or older. Car owners will be eligible to win People’s Choice Awards, dash plaques and goodie bags.
The Jaguar and MG clubs expect about 125 cars for their show, which has a rain date of September 22. A raffle and auction will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Judging is set for 12:00 to 2:30, with an awards ceremony 3:00 to 4:00. Smokaburger’s of East Northport will sell a large selection of grilled specialties.
