James Martin, Republican candidate for Suffolk County Legislature’s 17th district, announced that he has received the endorsement of New York State Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci.
“I am honored to receive Assemblyman Lupinacci’s endorsement. He has an impressive record of service to Huntington and Babylon. His support shows that I have the best agenda for our communities,” said Martin.
Lupinacci was elected to the Assembly in 2012. On the Assembly he has worked to improve the local economy. Previously, Lupinacci served 3 terms as a Trustee for the South Huntington Union Free School District. During his tenure, he improved graduation rates and the quality of education. He’s a lifelong resident of the Huntington.
“I know Jim for many years and his dedication to the Huntington community is unwavering. From his work with the South Huntington Soccer Club as a board member, organizing charitable events, to his being an active parent in the South Huntington School District, he demonstrates the kind of commitment we need in County government. He has a genuine understanding of the needs of our community and I look forward to working in partnership with him after he is elected. ”
“Lupinacci is well respected within the district. I know that with him on my team that we will be successful in November,” said Martin. “We will be able to work together to improve the quality of life in Huntington and Babylon and make government more accountable to the people. More importantly, we will be a great team for growing local jobs.”
