Why You Should Vote on Tuesday, November 5th!

Reminder from Greater Huntington Civic Group, Inc.

 * Why You Should Vote on Tuesday, November 5th! *

You deserve to let your voice be heard! When you vote, you are telling your elected officials In no uncertain terms about how you feel when it comes to where they stand on a variety of local issues that are important to you.

Every vote really does count! One voice, one vote can really make a difference!  Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_close_election_results for a list of very close races that were decided by just one vote or resulted in a tie, etc.

Remember, there is power in numbers! When we vote, and get our family members – and Greater Huntington Civic Group members – to vote, we can truly make a difference. If you don’t vote for what you believe in, others will vote for what they believe in – and you may not like the outcome.

Our children are depending on us! Because our children can’t vote, we owe it to them to make our concerns about our schools, safety, housing, and other issues be heard. When we vote, we are looking out for our kids and their futures.

Honor those who came before us!  As long as our country has existed, there have been people who didn’t want us to vote. Thankfully, others bravely fought for our right to vote. Now it’s our turn to stand up and vote to preserve the honor of those who went before us.

Exercising your right to vote gives you credibility! Oftentimes, we voice our concerns to elected officials, but when they know we vote, it can give us even more credibility as we fight for what we believe in, individually and as part of the Greater Huntington Civic Group.

Last but not least: BE INFORMED! For many of the local candidates’ positions on various issues, supplied to us by the candidates themselves, please go to our website: www.greaterhuntingtoncivicgroup.com
