Not ever having visited Ciao Baby in the Mayfair Shopping Center in Commack before, I must admit to being “WOWED!” It has a beautiful and comfortable lounge area and restaurant with large screen TV’s everywhere. This is a great place to meet people or just hang out with friends.
When I arrived I met the owners Lenny and Patricia who welcomed us with open arms as if we knew each other our whole lives. I asked what they would recommend and I decided to go with their recommendation, the Sunday Beef Ragu which consisted of Shell Shaped macaroni tossed with slow roasted San Marzano tomato sauce, braised beef, and topped of with shredded parmesan and ricotta cheese. Cooked to perfection the server, Lee, delivered as promised! It was delicious.
My dinner companion and friend ordered the Braised Beef Short Rib which is fork tender short rib served over cheesy scallion polenta and topped with roasted tomato chutney. She allowed me a taste and it was incredible.
My 9 year old Gracie ordered the mac n cheese, and she was very happy with it. Definitely a family friendly atmosphere.
HINT: The serving is very large so you really get two meals for the price of one!
Ciao Baby has a different theme for each day of the week except Friday and Saturday, which features LIVE MUSIC. Get there early on these days or you might just be waiting on the line out the door! It’s that good!
Check out their website for the daily specials. I plan on going to the Tuesday Real Estate Networking night which is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. followed by a fun night of Karaoke. Why not enjoy great food, friendly atmosphere, network with buyers/sellers and be able to write it all off as a business expense?
WOW! Doesn’t get much better than this!
