The 2014 Matinecock District (B.S.A.) Annual Polar Bear Scouting Skills Camporee Weekend was held this year at Schiff Scout Reservation in Wading River during the last weekend in January. The theme was “Klondike Gold Rush.”  Boy Scout Troop 113 (Centerport) was the host troop that created the various competitions, ran and scored the event,  and taste-tested the samples of the Dutch Oven Cooking Contest with an assist from their troop’s adult scouting volunteer and the Matinecock District.
