The Arena Players Children’s Theater will present Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book, opening Saturday, March 29, at 1:00 p.m. in the Vanderbilt Museum Carriage House Theater. Performances are given on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00 p.m., and the show will run through Sunday, May 4.
Arena Players children’s productions involve the audience. Cast members invite kids to join in the fun in this re-telling of Kipling’s classic tale. Mowgli, a jungle child raised by wolves, lives in the jungle with his animal friends: Baloo the bear, Bagheera the panther, and Kaa the snake. Mowgli’s mortal enemy is Shere Khan, a man-eating tiger who wants to rule the jungle, and only with help from the children in the audience can Mowgli defeat him.
Tickets: adults, $10 and children, $8. Children under three are free. For reservations or further information, phone (516) 293-0674. Visit www.ArenaPlayers.org
