Councilwoman Tracey A. Edwards and the Huntington Town Board honor Dentists for A Better Huntington at the February 7, 2017 Town board meeting

February 7, 2017- Huntington NY- Councilwoman Tracey A. Edwards and the Huntington Town Board honored Dentists for A Better Huntington at the February 7, 2017 town board meeting. 

Dentists for A Better Huntington is a group of 38 Dentists practicing in the Town of Huntington who partner together to support local charities that serve the Huntington Community. 

Since forming in 1996, Dentists for A Better Huntington has raised over $400,000.00 through various charitable donations, fund raisers and educational grants that they have given back to Huntington. 

“If you ever dreaded going to the dentist, learning about this wonderful group of philanthropic dental professionals should change your mind forever”, said Councilwoman Tracey Edwards. 

On January 18, 2017 Dentists for A Better Huntington presented checks totaling over $30,000.00 to the following local charities and organizations: East Northport Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice House, Friends of TJ Foundation, Junior Welfare League, Long Island United Veterans Beacon House, Meals on Wheels, Our Lady Queen of Martyrs HiHi program, Temple Beth El Project Hope, and the Town of Huntington Summer Youth Connection and Project PLAY.
