John Glenn Senior Mario Bento Named to Football Golden Eleven

Elwood-John H. Glenn High School senior Mario Bento has received the Golden Eleven award from the National Football Foundation’s James C. Metzger Suffolk County Chapter, recognizing excellence in both academics and football. Bento and his fellow honorees were presented with their awards on April 30, 2023 at the NFF Scholar-Athlete Awards Brunch at the Marriott in Melville.

Bento’s 2023 accolades include All-County football honors, the

Suffolk Zone award for physical education and summa cum laude designation in his graduation class. He will be attending the University of Connecticut this fall.
