Pedestrian Killed on Jericho Turnpike – Huntington Station – 2nd Update
A portion of Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station was closed early yesterday morning due to a fatal accident. At approximately 4:45 a.m. William Prucha, 45, of 5 Senate Lane, South Huntington was struck by a vehicle and killed. The accident took place near the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Evergreen Avenue.
Lewis Weill was driving a 2005 Saab westbound in the right lane of Jericho Turnpike, east of Evergreen Avenue, in Huntington Station when his vehicle struck William Prucha. Prucha was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
