The Wren Trio is a jazz/funk/groove band made up of James Boone on bass and guitars, Greg Gordon on keys and Ryan Engelbert on drums.

Drawing from influences that include everyone from jazz legends to artists like Brian Blade, Danilo Perez, Medeski Martin & Wood, Charlie Hunter and John Scofield, the trio thrives on improvisational performance and feeds off their palpable musical chemistry.

The Barr Sinister Jazz Group portrays the Great American Songbook  in both modern and traditional styles. It was founded by Cliff Ferdon (drums) and jazz guitarist Tim Barr.  The group also features vocalist Beverly Jane, Guiseppe Rappa on tenor sax and bassist Grant Valentine.

Jazz After Hours is curated by Long Island native Cliff Ferdon, a musician, instructor and producer who works in the Huntington area.  This monthly event was the product of a brain-storm during the long power outage in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Jazz After Hours serves as a great new venue for live jazz, especially after other local live music venues, like the IMAC and Chesterfields, have closed.  This program – which truly creates a great nightclub atmosphere – is in keeping with the founding spirit of the Cinema Arts Centre – to provide great cultural programming where there is an interest and a need.
